Kibbutz Almog

Kibbutz Almog is located at the entrance to the Dead Sea valley; it is part of the stunning landscape that first greets travelers heading east, immediately after leaving the Judean Hills, offering a beautiful and fascinating surprise. The kibbutz allows newcomers to become full partners in creating experiences and in the life story of a community in a unique region, inhabited by a special and diverse group of people. Kibbutz Almog was founded in 1977 and became a civilian community in 1979. The kibbutz is secular, seeking to preserve the values of the Labor Zionist movement while adapting them to the realities of modern life in Israel and maintaining a proper balance between individual life and community. Currently, Kibbutz Almog is home to approximately 75 families, including about 100 children. Most of the families are young with children. The community and cultural life in Almog is rich and diverse, relying on the involvement of the residents and their willingness to initiate or participate in cultural committee activities. Many holidays are celebrated communally, with all families participating in the holiday preparations.
